After 13 years in broadcast news, I’m taking the biggest risk of my professional life by stepping away from a comfortable job in traditional media and starting nash.news. Every weekday morning, I'll give you a quick and easy way to catch up with what’s happening in our city (and why) — like political decisions that’ll impact you, reviews of new restaurants, what’s coming to your neighborhood, and things to do.

About me

I’m a 35-year-old, native Nashvillian with a passion for news. To the point that I probably watched more news as a kid than cartoons. I’m putting those decades of historical context to work with every newsletter I send.

My partner and I live in Downtown Nashville with our two dogs, but I have ties all around town. Friday nights at my great-grandparents on Eastland Avenue, shopping at Rivergate and Hickory Hollow before their demise, pool days at my grandmother’s house in Antioch, a faint memory of Opryland, still mourning the loss of La Paz and Tokyo in Green Hills. I could go on, but you get the point. I understand how our community has changed and the challenges ahead.
